PhD in Research and Evaluation Methodology at the University of Colorado-Boulder, where I engaged in research on performance-based assessments and equitable assessment practices. I also hold an EdM in International Education Policy (Harvard University, 2018) and a BA in Social Science Education, International Relations, and Public Administration (Florida International University, 2017). Additionally, I consult with international development organizations and government institutions on issues of educational assessments.
My research focuses on the types of assessment practices that support and enhance equitable learning experiences in K-12 contexts. Building on the latest innovations in the learning sciences, I aim to understand how curriculum, classroom enviroment, and assessment tasks intersect in ways that allow all learners to engage in deep learning and comprehensively demonstrate what they know and can do.
